More time lost making a vall to PODS with 0 action or acknowledgement. I need to be charging them for my time invested trying to speak with someone at PODS who can solve this and reimburse my money now due to their negligence and failure to provide agreed service on agreed date - cheapest moving pods.
No reaction to my e-mail. No response to phone messages. Extremely poor client service!!! Tcomplaint with PODS opened October 30 2020. There has been adequate time and several opportunities for actions however absolutely nothing ... crickets ... wonder if PODS likes the sound of class action? No one connected to inform us. This is for delivering a PODS Container within Hawaii from the island Oahu to Kauai island. When we scheduled (nationwide number) we were told twice all we require is a 24 hr directs to move our pod from the holding place. We chose pods because we 'd remain in quarantine for 14 days and needed the time while we waited to hold our stuff before it got delivered out.
Our circumstance was complicated in that Kauai is remote. Had we understood that the container needed to be delivered back from Kauai to Oahu and back at the lot in order to prevent paying another $365 in monthly rent, we would have coordinated much better on our end with scheduling (moving options). However, we did nit receive one phone call or e-mail from the regional or national workplace notifying us of our unique scenario.
Our month container rent was up on 10/25 and the soonest we might ship was 10/30 by the time I called them on 10/22 & 10/24. In my head I believed I needed to send it out a day prior to our month was up (again because we were not given the full details to make an educated decision).
The pod was sent out back and it reached Oahu by 11/12 (Keith at the Hawaii office told us that as an estimated return date). We feel deceived since my other half and I are really educated and intelligent people, and since this company failed to give us the complete details about our unique situation (island hopping and having container back within a months time).
They would not even prorate us for a partial month in light of their imperfection. Also the local office had no power or capability to help us with remedying our scenario and we were informed to file a conflict. Frustratingly enough, we can not find an e-mail or "file a disagreement" area on the pods site.
They could even have sent out a generic email stating since we are delivering from Oahu to another Hawaiian island, we ought to talk to a regional agent to prepare for the move AND avoid any extra rental fees. There was a detach in between the national reservation call center and the local group and we wound up spending for their drawbacks - cross country moving pods.
Preferred OutcomeWe have paid over $1850 in shipping charges including 2 month's storage fee. We seek to get a refund for the second month's storage fee of $365. Did not get a call that there were any problems, the truck left without notification and other pickups were cancelled. I tried to contact PODS, after waiting on hold 45 min I was told that they might not reach the facility and there was no supervisor I can speak with.
In June I had the same issue when pods were moved. The driver threatened my hubby and my10 years of age son because he did not like where he had to position the pods. I again tried getting in touch with somebody, no call back or email. This is unacceptable. I require the pods removed.
